Peek-a-Boo...I see you.

I am sleeping! Quit tickling my toes.

OHHHH we spent an exciting morning at Prenatal Peek where Josh and I got a look at Lucas with Grandma Jojo (my mom). Lucas would not cooperate, he decided to sleep and turned away from the camera everytime we got near (the little stinker). After many attempts of tickling his feet, by mommy, he gave us a peek.

We, Josh and Amber have had numerous runs to the hospitals, doctors, and ER's during our 26 to 28ish weeks of this pregnancy. This has been a CRAZY, but exciting time for us and has challenged, stressed, and at times driven us to the brink of insanity. I would like to bring you all up to date on our story.

We met while in a landlord-tennant relationship and knew from the beginning it was too be. Our previous commitments to others had failed despite our efforts. So we packed up and moved on together.

We elected to take things slow, but nature had a different agenda. Amber has a medical condition which made it impossible to get pregnant (so said the doctors), what do they really know. We in December 2008 Amber began to feel yucky, we just thought she was getting sick again from her medical condition...not so. Amber was always told to take a pregnancy test anytime she felt sick just in case of a miracle. Well a Miracle it was! After 5 home pregnancy tests and a visit to the doctor's office it was confirmed. We are expecting a "Miracle Baby."

The doctors, while scratching their heads said congratulations! Scared, surprised, and in shock, we all took an educated guess when the baby was due. Even today it is only an estimated time of delivery...August (ish). We were elated! And thus the adventure began.

While enjoying Brayden's excitement of Christmas Josh proposed to Amber in front of her family.

January 09 Amber blacked out and went to the hospital. This was the first of a dozen or so trips to the hospital for various challenges to her pregnancy. All the while I was right by her side. Amber underwent test after test, exam after exam, and through it all, little LUCAS JAMES THOMAS continued to prosper.

April 11, 2009 Amber and I tied the knot with Brayden as my Best Man and Ring Bearer in a beautiful intimate wedding ceremony located in the backyard of Adam and Amber (brother & sister-in-law to my Amber). It was beautiful!
